Renewable Energy, Alternative Transportation and Green Architecture

Our program works with numerous sustainability-oriented organizations (both for-profit and not-for-profit) in the greater Albuquerque area. Many of our students attend workshops, lectures and tours offered by these organizations, and participate as community volunteers, interns and employees.

Ampersand Sustainable Learning Center - An off-grid demonstration site that explores sustainable living, including permaculture, land restoration, organic gardening, passive solar design, and wise water techniques

Architecture 2030 - Transforming the U.S. and global Building Sector from the major contributor of greenhouse gas emissions to a central part of the solution to the climate change, energy consumption, and economic crises

Bicycling in Albuquerque - The City of Albuquerque has more than 400 miles of bike paths and trails, with more in the works

BikeABQ - Ssupporting, educating, and advocating for a bike-friendly Albuquerque

Bioneers - Inspiring a shift to live on Earth in ways that honor the web of life, each other and future generations

Coalition of Sustainable Communities NM- Increasing climate actions around reducing carbon emissions as well as adapting to climate change statewide and promoting such actions and sustainabilty solutions for local governments and their constituents.
