Tammira Taylor graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNM in 2015 with a BS in Geography and Environmental Studies with a concentration in Geographic Information Science (GIS) and a minor in Sustainability Studies.Tammira is pursuing her master’s degree in Geography at UNM and will be graduating in the spring of 2021.  Since 2017 Tammira has been working as a GIS planner at Albuquerque Public Schools Capital Master Plan, which guides the expenditure of capital resources of the district including all improvements to buildings, major equipment acquisition, technology, and land acquisition.  Tammira’s capstone project in the Sustainability Studies Program, “Remote Sensing and GIS for a Flagship Farm at the University of New Mexico” provided Tammira with hands-on experience that inspired her to launch a remote sensing program at APS.
