UNM OBSERVATION OF CITES INTERNATIONAL WILDLIFE TREATY

Come learn from UNM law students about their experience achieving observer status to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and attending the 19th CITES Conference of the Parties this past November in Panama City, Panama. CITES is the chief international legal treaty for the protection of endangered plants and animals from the threats of international trade. The event will feature law student organizers Spenser Lotz and
Kate Tara. Speakers will also discuss opportunities for UNM students from any UNM school or college use UNM’s observer status in the future, including to observe future annual “Conference of the Parties” events.
