Online conversations on soil health. Our guest starts with a short presentation, followed by conversation with participants.
Matthew Denetclaw was born and raised on the Navajo reservation in Shiprock, New Mexico. As a fifth-generation beef producer, it comes as no surprise that he has a great passion for the beef industry. Building a vast network of fellow agricultural enthusiasts has led to numerous opportunities including earning a collegiate livestock judging scholarship, starting a show cattle operation with customers throughout the United States, and recently being elected to the board of directors under the New Mexico Cattle Growers Association.
Matthew continues to travel the country judging livestock shows and helping young cattle exhibitors through Sullivan Supply’s non-profit organization known as Stock Show University.
At the Intertribal Agriculture Council he serves as Program Specialist where he helps producers throughout the Navajo Reservation take advantage of USDA programs which will help make improvements within their own agricultural operations.
