UNM LEAF Presents: Solidarity with Indigenous Led Environmental Justice

UNM LEAF & Kiva Club are cohosting a screening as a part of Nizhoni Week. Throughout this week, different student organizations are hosting a series of events, leading up to the powwow on Sunday May 1, which will be all day on Johnson Field.
UNM LEAF Presents: Solidarity with Indigenous Led Environmental Justice will consist of a screening of the documentary Our Story: the Indigenous Led Fight to Protect Greater Chaco followed by a panel discussion with seven Indigenous environmental activists.
The panelists for this event are:
- Elder Kathy WanPovi Sanchez (she/her) from Tewa Women United
- Mario Atencio (he/him) and Samuel Sage (he/him) from Dine Care
- Trenton DeVore (he/him/they/them) from Pueblo Action Alliance
- Christina Castro (she/her) from 3 Sisters Collective
- Leona Morgan (she/her) from the Nuclear Issues Study Group
- Yang (she/her) from Youth United for Climate Crisis Action
