Learn approaches for holistic orchard care and practice fruit tree planting with Mary and David Lucero of J.A.L. Farms!
We'll start at 10am with an introduction to soil practices at the farm, a microscope viewing of soil samples and getting to know each other.
Around noon we'll enjoy a delicious lunch, prepared by David Lucero and sponsored by the Seeding Regenerative Agriculture Project. After that, we'll plant fruit trees and native shrubs and grasses.
Wear work clothes (layers recommended) and gloves. Bring a water bottle and sun protection.
