We are very excited to announce that registration for TNOC Festival 2022 is now open.TNOC Festival spans 3 full days with programming across all regional time zones and is provided in multiple languages.The program is designed to push the boundaries of collaborative engagement by mixing the arts, sciences, urban practice fields, and performance to draw urban thought leaders and changemakers together to build better cities!

The Nature of Cities Festival Garden

The garden is the meeting place where we all arrive, meet, talk, and visit the different activities of the festival. The garden is our meeting point where everything, absolutely everything happens during the Festival.  An exuberantly imagined virtual space hosted at Topia, where radically imaginative energy flows throughout the Festival program. The garden is a program of FREIC (Forum for Radical Imagination on Environmental Cultures) produced by curators Carmen Bouyer, Patrick Lydon, M'Lisa Colbert, and David Maddox. 
What can you do in the Festival Garden?
  • Go to each of the plenaries to listen to keynotes, dialogues, art happenings, Fiel Trips, Micro-Talks...

  • Access to over 200 interactive and engaging sessions that work to radically imagine our cities for the future. 

  •  Listen to stories from Sprout Poetry Journal, an experimental TNOC project focused on collaborations between poets, researchers, citizens, and nature.
  • Watch dozens of filmmakers present works on topics of science, design, equity, planning, community, climate, resilience, and food. 
  • Spontaneously meet people, chat, create, regenerate, relearn, and re-emerge. 
  • Enjoy live concerts. Musical artists from multiple continents help inspire, entertain, and challenge how we think about urban nature.
  • And so much more!
When we say Festival, we mean it. You might want to take a few days off work for this one. It's a party for three consecutive days at the TNOC Festival!
