Bio

Dr. Webster is an ecosystem ecologist who studies metrics of ecological function and resilience across diverse settings and landscapes. She integrates resilience theory, biogeochemistry, hydrology, and the analysis of big datasets to study sustainability in socioecological systems, particularly those that form the cornerstones of our freshwater resources. Her current focus is conducting a quantitative resilience assessment of New Mexico's water resources for UNM's Sustainable Water Resources Grand Challenge. Alongside this research, she is passionate about increasing diversity, inclusivity, and equity throughout the STEM pipeline, and has led a number of initiatives in this area targeting undergraduate classrooms, graduate programs, and professional scientific societies.
