Webinar: Vertically Integrated Projects for Sustainable Development

March 3, 2021 1:00 PM - March 3, 2021 2:00 PM
Online

This event is part of the AASHE Award Winner Webinar Series, featuring a presentation of the Campus Sustainability Research Award winning project.

As we enter the Decade of Action on these global goals, the VIP4SD program provides a platform for HEIs to leverage the unique access they have to the enthusiasm, idealism, and talent of their undergraduate populations in tackling the grand global challenges of today. The program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gain academic credits by working in partnership with their peers from different disciplines and year groups, and with experienced researchers and academics, on ambitious research projects that tackle the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The webinar will share the University of Strathclyde’s experience of embedding research-based education for sustainable development within the undergraduate curricula through the use of an innovative pedagogy called Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP), which originated at Georgia Institute of Technology.
