Halt Holtec Public Info-Session will be a student run event featuring the Nuclear Issues Study Group, Student from and representing the UNM Sustainability Studies Program and YOU! 

Who?

Holtec International plans on dumping over 173,000 metric tons of radioactive waste from across the country into a so-called "temporary" storage facility in the state of New Mexico. Another company Interim Storage Partners (ISP) plans to dump at least 40,000 metric tons along the New Mexico/ Texas state line. 

What?

Come learn more about Holtec and ISP and how to get involved by attending this grassroots meeting hosted by students of the UNM Sustainability Studies Program and Nuclear Issues Study Group. 

Why?

These grassroots meetings will be essential in building public community and student support to HALT Holtec and Interim Storage Partners.
