Poetry Through The Seasons - Fall

September 8, 2019 10:00 AM
Bachechi Open Space 9521 Rio Grande Blvd. NW

Please join us as we combine writing prompts with walks surrounding Bachechi Open Space to strengthen our poetic voices through detailed observation of the natural world. Participants are asked to bring a notebook, pen or pencil, and a favorite nature poem to class.

About Our Instructors

Cynthia Grady has camped, cycled, and backpacked all over the West. These experiences have led her to reading and writing poems steeped in natural history. A former librarian and educator, she loves connecting people, poetry, and nature.

Sharon Sivinski has led the Camp-In program at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, has taught students of all ages for numerous years, developed the RIO Fieldtrip program for the Water Utility Authority Education Program, performed hundreds of puppet shows, and currently tracks wild animals in the bosque. She writes poetry to see more clearly.
