Our Community
Sustainability Studies is built on the understanding that meaningful work for sustainability, resilience, and justice happens in relationships.
Our community extends from a core team of faculty and staff who guide the program, to a wide network of affiliated faculty across UNM whose research and teaching deepen our interdisciplinary reach, to the partners beyond campus who collaborate with us as co-learners in this work.
These partners span community organizations, social movements, neighborhoods, nonprofits, city and county government, state agencies, tribal nations, and institutions working at regional, national and global scales.
Within the university, we cultivate relationships with centers, institutes, and programs that share our commitment to engaged scholarship and impact in New Mexico and beyond.
These overlapping circles of people, organizations, and purpose are what make the program a living hub.
