Hector Lara is a recent graduate from UNM with a major in Geography with a concentration in GIS and a minor in sustainability. His capstone project, done at his own property, was learning how to spot soil erosion. Lara crafted a Zuni bowl, which is a preventative method for soil erosion. In January 2018, Betsy became Program Director for TTYL. She has continued educating K-college students through classroom visits and field trips, emphasizing nature discovery, data collection, and restoration of watersheds, forests, and wildlife.
