Sustainability Studies Retreat
Each year, Sustainability Studies students and faculty head to The Refuge - a agricultural learning space in the East Mountains - for two nights of camping, community, and shared learning. Through workshops, conversations with invited guests, shared meals, and hands-on work on the land, the retreat deepens the relationships that sustain our program throughout the year. It's where new students find their footing, returning students reconnect, and faculty step out of their teaching roles into something more collaborative.
The retreat reflects a core conviction of the program: that the work of sustainability is relational, and that building trust and community takes time, presence, and a good campfire.
